privacy policy

delulu ("we", "us") runs textdelulu.com and the telegram bot @DeluluAppBot: an ai accountability buddy and character chat app. questions or requests about ur data: support@textdelulu.com.

• account: ur email (web sign-in) or ur telegram chat id and first name (telegram).
• profile: the name, pronouns, "about me", profile picture and settings u choose to add.
• chats: the messages u send and the replies u get, including gifs, reactions, and voice notes the characters send u. we also keep short ai-written summaries of long chats ("memory") so characters remember older stuff.
• goals & streaks: goals, check-in times, ur timezone, reminders, streaks and weekly recap stats.
• characters: characters u create (their details, the relationship u set, first message, scenario, picture).
• photos & voice u send: a photo sent as proof is passed to the ai once to reply and is not stored. voice messages are sent to the ai to understand them; we keep the text of what u said, not the audio.
• payments: stripe or telegram handle ur card / stars. we only store ur plan, when it renews, and stripe customer / subscription ids. we never see ur full card number.
• technical: ur ip address for abuse and spending limits (kept about 2 days), and error logs to fix bugs.
• age & content settings: if u confirm ur 18+, we store that u did and when.

• to run the app: reply to u, text u first at ur check-in times, keep streaks and recaps.
• to keep conversations consistent over time (memory).
• to take payments and give u premium.
• to keep it safe and affordable: rate limits, abuse prevention, enforcing our terms.
• to fix bugs and improve the app.

we don't sell ur data, we don't show ads, and we don't use ur chats to train our own ai models.

these providers process data for us, only to provide their part of the service:

• google (gemini api): writes replies, reads proof photos and voice messages, makes character pictures and voice notes.
• openrouter: routes some adult roleplay chats (only for users who confirmed 18+) to a third-party ai model.
• supabase: database, sign-in and file storage.
• vercel: website hosting.
• telegram: if u use the bot, ur messages go through telegram.
• stripe: web payments.
• resend: sends sign-in emails.
• klipy: gif search (it gets the search words, not ur chat).

some of these are based in the united states, so ur data may be processed there.

we keep ur data while ur account exists. when u delete ur account, we delete ur chats, goals, streaks, memory, profile, uploaded pictures and the characters only u used, and cancel any web subscription. copies can stay in backups for a short time before they roll off. payment records are kept by stripe / telegram as the law requires.

• delete everything: on the web, profile → delete my account. on telegram, send /deleteme.
• edit: change ur profile anytime, and edit or delete ur own messages in the web app.
• stop check-ins: /pause on telegram.
• get a copy, or ask anything: email support@textdelulu.com. depending on where u live (like the eu, uk or california) u may have more rights, such as access, correction, portability or objecting to processing. we'll help with any of them.

we use ur browser's storage to keep u signed in and remember small preferences (like a character u picked before signing in). no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

delulu is for people 13 and older (or older if ur country requires it). romantic and adult character setups are 18+ only. if u think a child under 13 is using delulu, email support@textdelulu.com and we'll delete the account.

data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to our servers, and payment details stay with stripe / telegram. no system is perfect, so please don't send things u'd never want stored (like passwords or id numbers).

if we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll update the date above and tell u in the app.
